Tony Love 4 Star review, the just released 2014 Blackbilly Shiraz.

In his words: A wonderfully evocative name, the “Blackbilly” refers to our distinctive spear-shaped native tree, aka the yacca tree, many of which inhabit the gullies and roadsides of the Fleurieu Peninsula where the wine originates.

This Shiraz is a classically traditional, full bodied, oak-tinged style, ripe, rich, full of soft, juicy, dark plum flavours and cedar senses from the barrel work involved – in the end, all about mouth-filling satisfaction. Cellar a few too, and watch the oak and fruit mesh even more.
